Consider a Planned Gift to Humane Indiana
Planned gifts are a powerful way to save animals today and ensure a secure future for generations to come. Planned giving takes many forms and ultimately allows you to donate conservatively with flexibility during your lifetime to help save the lives of animals in need.
Your generous support of the homeless, injured, or orphaned animals of Humane Indiana allows us to provide loving, attentive, and humane shelter. We care for about 10,000 animals annually at our clinic, shelter, and wildlife rehabilitation and education center. Your help provides critical support to animals and their caretakers.
At our Munster Shelter, animal care experts and volunteer staff work tirelessly to connect homeless pets with new families and services that support successful transitions.
Our Valparaiso Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center rescues, rehabilitates, and returns wild animals to their natural habitats, providing a second chance to animals impacted by negative interactions with our man-made world.
Protecting pets, preserving wildlife, and supporting a nurturing connection between people and animals is our mission. With your support, Humane Indiana is making Northwest Indiana a better place for animals and those who care for them. Your donation of any size is desperately needed to continue this critical work.

Benefits of Year-End Giving
Mark Machnic, CPA, shares the tax benefits of charitable giving.
Giving before December 31 helps you make the greatest impact for animals in need while unlocking valuable tax advantages.
Eligible year-end gifts may be tax-deductible, and donating appreciated assets, such as stocks or mutual funds, can offer additional benefits, including the potential to avoid capital gains tax.
Your generosity today ensures more second chances for shelter pets and injured wildlife, all while providing possible savings at tax time.
