Event Location Update!
Paws in the Park will be taking place at Community Park in Munster, but will be further south at the park than our usual event location. This year, we will be in the large open, grassy area next to the Munster Community Pool. For anyone familiar with Munster's National Night Out event, that is the same area where Paws in the Park will be this year. So whether you are joining us at Paws in the Park for the first time, or you are a Paws in the Park regular, we’re looking forward to seeing you!
It is recommended that you enter the park via Fisher Street for easy access to the Munster Community Pool parking lot. Parking is also available in the Munster Social Center Parking lot, which can be accessed if entering the park from Calumet Ave.
Bring your leashed, vaccinated, well-behaved dogs to this fun, pet-friendly fundraiser! Paws in the Park is an annual, family AND pet-friendly festival that celebrates our shared love for animals while raising essential funds to support shelter pets in Northwest Indiana. The event features:
9am: Event Opens; check-in for the 1-mile, dog-friendly walk begins (the walk is donation-based entry with all proceeds supporting the shelter & adoption center!)
9:45am: Presentation of the Flag (courtesy of University of Illinois Chicago ROTC) and National Anthem (courtesy of Tiffany Lidster)
10am: DJ Countdown and Dog-Friendly Walk Begins
10:30am: ‘K-9s in Action’ demonstration by Munster Police Department K9 Unit
11am: “WestMunster” Doggy Fashion Show – Dress up your pup and compete for prizes!
11am: 3 Floyds Beer Garden Opens
12pm - 3:10pm: Live Music
9am - 3pm: Vendor Market, Food Trucks, Raffle Prizes
Proceeds from this event directly support Humane Indiana’s mission to create a better world for animals and the people who love them. Funds raised will benefit Humane Indiana’s animal shelter, including community program initiatives like the pet food pantry (a free community resource for pet families in need), veterinary care for pets in need, and the foster care program.

‘WestMunster’ Dog Fashion Show
For only $20, register your furry friend(s) to participate in the ‘WestMunster’ fashion show, scheduled for 11am (following the pet-friendly one mile walk through Community Park). For multiple pets who are participating in the fashion show as part of one unit/themed costume, please only register your group once.
